Yeni Yüzyıl University is committed to internationalization and ensures to adopt the principles indicated in Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE), as a common tool to enhance the quality and relevance of higher education.
Yeni Yüzyıl University, therefore, ensures to adopt the following principles as Erasmus Policy Statement:
- Organize clearly defined mobility activities.
- Respect in full the principles of non- discrimination, ensure equal access and opportunities to mobile participants from all backgrounds, and encourage the outreach of underrepresented groups.
- Recognize satisfactorily completed activities of study mobility, and include/display satisfactorily completed study activities and credits earned in the final record of student achievements (Transcript of Records and Diploma Supplement)
- Allocate ECTS credits based on student workload required to achieve expected learning outcomes.
- Publish, and annually update the course catalogue.
- Select the mobile students based on their merits and distribute the grants in a fair, coherent, transparent and documented way in line with the stipulations of the contract with the Turkish National Agency.
- Perform the mobility activities based on Learning Agreements and Teaching Programmes, validated well in advance with the three parties involved, and keep records of the achievements of mobile students and staff.
- Provide incoming mobile participants and their home institution with transcripts containing a full, accurate and timely record of their achievements at the end of their mobility period.
- Explain local grading scale and practice in the Transcript of Records.
- Organize orientation sessions in order to provide necessary information regarding the academic and cultural life of the university.
- Charge no fees to incoming mobile students for tuition, registration, examinations or access to laboratory and library facilities.
- Ensure that the faculty and staff are given recognition for their teaching and training activities undertaken during the mobility period based on a mobility agreement.
- Integrate the incoming teaching mobility activity into the local academic programme.
- Have in place appropriate mentoring and support arrangements for mobile participants.
- Provide language courses.
- Strictly prohibit xenophobia.
- Integrate social responsibility projects into the regular course programs.
- Publicize the results of Erasmus projects in a way that will maximize their impact and encourage peer learning with the wider academic community.
- Display the Charter and the Related Erasmus Policy Statement on the website.
