We all know that there are lots of cats wandering around the streets of İstanbul, but now you can even pray alongside with them! At the Aziz Mahmud Hüdayi Mosque (located in Üsküdar) The Imam Mustafa Efe has decided to open up the mosque’s doors to all the stray cats and kittens that are looking for a warmer place to spend these cold winter days.
The Imam, who posted on his Facebook page pictures of his fluffy friends, has reached more than 2,000 likes in one of his pictures in that appears with one of the cats.
The act of generosity by the Imam escalated across the social media and now there are lots of images and videos of the new guests at the Aziz Mahmud Hüdayi Mosque on the internet.
As the temperatures keep dropping in İstanbul and lots of flights are getting cancelled because of the weather conditions, there will be always a place for those (cats) looking for place to pass the cold season.
